Really, I think his greatest accomplishment may have been helping the fantastic Nelly Kaplan get into print, but while unfortunately none of her fictions have made it into English outside of scattered stories and excerpts, Mandiargues has been widely translated and published, as in this rather juvenile series of tableaux of ostensibly erotic violence, written apparently for the dubious motivation that he was feeling happy and complacent and wanted to make something horrible.
