Half Life 2 Episode 2 Soundtrack

Welcome to the Half-Life waiting game, year 17.You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining internet communities.I thought so much of constantly waiting for 17 years that I elected to establish my Administration here in this solace so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors.I have been proud to call this eternal misery my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or telling yourself you’ll pass through on your way to parts where cliffhanger endings never happened, welcome to.It's always here. You think it's bad now. You don't know anything. The thing about Half-Life is not that there was a bad ending.

It's that there's no ending. Mass Effect 3's ending was like getting kicked in the nuts. It hurt - bad. But it was over. There was shitty closure, but closure.Half-Life is a little different. Waiting for Half-Life 3 is like. Imagine that, every day, you get a small cut.

No big deal - it's not enough to draw any blood. And, the person doing it is somebody you actually like. It's OK, you say to yourself.

They don't mean it.But the thing about this cut, is that it's in the same place. Like a small trickle of water creates the Grand Canyon, the small cuts add up. Pretty soon you've got this gaping, open wound - festering with pus and disease and pulpy, dead flesh. When you ask the person to stop, they simply ignore you.

They won't even say if they're going to stop or not. You've made this person a billionaire, several times over, and yet, they continue to do this to you.

'I'll stop when I'm ready to stop', they sometimes say. You no longer believe them. Then you will understand the pain.At first, your worries will be naive, optimistic, practical ones. How are they going to finish the series without the writers? Are there any of the original team members left? Then, as time goes on, you realize you'll never have the big questions answered.

Who is the G-Man? What happens to the Combine, to the advisors, to earth and the resistance? Will Gordon and Alyx have kids? You'll have to face the reality you'll never have these questions answered.Pretty soon, you'll find yourself playing through Half-Life 2 very slowly, drinking it all in. Trust me, she'll still be beautiful - she hasn't aged a pixel.

But all that will be left is a vague sense of nostalgia and repressed hatred for the one that made you this way.
